Hall of Fame Inductee - Dale Hendren
Hendren joined the faculty and coaching staff at Quincy High School
in 1948 after a year as a teacher and coach in his hometown of Clarinda,
Iowa.
A graduate of Culver-Stockton College, he coached track for 28 years
and was the head coach of the football team in 1953 and 1954. He also
coached the freshman football team for five years and was an assistant
basketball coach for George Latham, Howard Dewell and Sherill Hanks.
One of the highlights in Hendren's coaching career came when he was a
member of Bill Gross' staff when QHS won two Western Big Six Conference
championships in football in the late 1960s.
